We have greyhound track in Portland (or) and they put the dogs up for adoption. There are 2 things your Mom needs to know. They do require a lot of exercise and they cannot take much cold at all, so you need to have a sweater for them. I know this because some people we know adopted one, she was a sweety, there only complaint was that she needed a lot of exercise. So if your Mom doesn't care about those 2 things, then she should, all I know is of the few people I have talked that have them love them.

My Mom has always said that she would love to someday adopt a grey hound which is such a great tempered animal. I may also someday after learning what happens to so many of them after they can no longer run and make money at the dog tracks!!!!! This makes me sick and would love to see these jerks put in jail for cruelty, but once again it is not about the welfare of the dog, but about the almighty dollar!!!!!!!!
