Guest guest
I was justed visiting the site and thought I would make a post. My son was placed in a helmet when he was 6 mos old and wore it until he was 9 mos old 23 hrs a day. It was one of the toughest decisions we had to make we had grandparents and drs fighting us on it. I cried when he first got it - but he did not seem to mind it at all. He is five now I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. His head is perfectly round. He is in kindergarten now and I think of the name calling and teasing that he would of suffered if we would not have used the helmet. Guest guest
Thanks to you both for the bird's eye view. I am waiting for the starband for my 10 month old daughter after having to change her pediatrician (which is why we got started so late). I am dreading the adjustment period but we have been doing PT for her torticollis and she has adjusted to that pretty quickly. I am concerned though, because she hates wearing hats...how did your daughter adjust? . > > > I was justed visiting the site and thought I would make a post. Guest guest
My daughter did surprisingly well with the helmet. For some reason babes really seem to adapt easily with them. She's even had to deal with sensory issues but didn't mind the helmet. Our biggest obstacle was to make sure she was cool enough at bedtime. , Mama to...
