Guest guest
Lois - Now all of this seems to make more sense to me. If your daughter's doctor is "old school" then it's likely that he's also of the school that says "If you can't find an immediate medical reason for something then it must be psychological." How frustrating for you and your daughter !......and in the meantime, while they banter about this thing, poor jane is the one who sits there hurting. Is there a reason that you continue with this doctor rather than going to a new one? Not many other docs in your area or because you feel most comfortable with him? I just hate hearing that jane is losing the time and relief that she could be getting from someone with more experience. You're both in my thoughts. Guest guest
Hi barbara, jane is my bowel disease daughter, not the one whoose been in hospital in the last few days. Vicki is the crps and been in hospital the last few days. Vicki slept better last night and is finally having real food and her pain meds today she has just had a bout of diahrea. So what ever the problem its working through. I have a sence of satisfaction that vicki is proving them wrong!! Diaharea um dont hink that a painic attack does that and also why is she improving surly if its mental this would carry on for a long time?? Beleive it or not we live in a large city with alarge public hospital and three private hospitals. But there is only 5 pedetricains that work in the public hospital by public she gets treated for free. DR Neil mCkenzie is the old boy who treated vicki wrong for 3 years when we lived in a small town saying its all in her head. The reason we ended up with him is because the another pedetricain was the one who treated vcikis cancer and wont adknowledge she has nerve damage from the chemotherpy. He has a strong dislike for my hubby and I. In asked to see a different pedetricain but it was suggested he knew vicki and it would be better,Well we decided to try him hoping he may have changed guess what he hasnt!!!!! So i snuck down to a bowel surgeon who knew vicki when we lived on the coast and under the care of dr neil and he was more than happy to talk to neil and try and get vicki under his care. \When we met the bowel surgeon on the coast he found vicki screaming in pain and suffering from a extremley blocked bowel and diagnosed she to like SJ had bowel nerve damage as they were both prem babies. I just hope and pray neil dosnt fill Dr beasley with fasle stuff. But i have the ok to contact dr bealsely anytime i need to. My daughter is slowly comming back to us thankgoodness! I,m still convinced that rsd is in the bowel and stumic. But hay what do i know i,m only a parent lol!!!!!! I best go all the kids are up and demanding breakfast oh joy the hoilidays i,ll be spending most of my days baking. take care from lois and the tribe --- BARBARA TORREY wrote: > Lois - Now all of this seems to make more sense to > me. Guest guest
Lois - Somehow I had mssed out on the fact that both of your girls ahd health problems. ou certainly have a full plate. While I'm glad to hear that VIcki mary be starting to feel a bit better, I 'm concerned that it really doesn't sound like you have a lot of choice in physicians down there. Have they explained why they keep leaning towards a psychiatric diagnsosis? Do they just not understanad RSD? Here's hoping that things settle down for you at least for the holidays.
