Guest guest
Hi everyone~~ I saw my doctor today and expressed my dissatisfaction with the OxyContin 80 mg holding my pain. Breakthru pain has been at least 2-3 times a day. Breakthru pain I use, Roxicodone 15 mg and/or Norco 325 mg x2=650mg. Even with all this juice I have has to take muscle relaxants to stop spasms too. So we talked about it and decided to change me to Avinza C II 90 mg once a day. Has anyone used this? If so, I would like to know results because I have a pretty severe reaction to morphine drip when I had home care after my surgery this last time. It made me really nauseated and sounds were R E A L L Y loud! Thanks in advance! Debbi
Guest guest
Thanks TJ. It is the Fuzzy head that I am trying to avoid. The Oxy really does not do that for me. Did you take something like Oxy BEFORE you started the Avinza? Debbi

But ... everyone reacts differently. I have 10 days free with coupon so I am only going to get these 10 to try out. Did it take you a full 2 weeks to get past the problems? I want to start when I know I have some down time which would be starting after Wed. Debbi
Guest guest
Hi,,, I use Avinza- 90 mg once a day- but started out on 30 and progressed to 90 two weeks ago- so far so good- the adjustment period stunk but other than that- after 2 weeks , seems to be finally giving some relief.......... it isn't pain free but less than before - so a God send basically. I also take the muscle relaxants to stop spasms too ..... I won't say it didnt cause my stomach to be a mess first 2 weeks....... but I wasn't sure if it was that or all the medications...... I am also on wellbutrin, xanax, lorcet, blood pressure pill, water pill, vitamins, quinine hmmmmmm I think there is more- oh prilosec which isnt really all that great. Lomotil...... I never had any problems with morphine though- demoral and keflex, augmentin, eyrthamyacin........ other than that...... the rest have not bothered me....... but with all the stomach meds that may be the difference....... I don't realize if its from the meds or colitis/ulcer itself. Definitely , helps me to get more sleep than I was able to before being on them but in cat nap fashion...... couple hrs here, couple hours there......... and fuzzy headed....... but better to be fuzzy headed than living in such severe pain daily...... Take care- TJ Hi everyone~~ I saw my doctor today and expressed my dissatisfaction with the OxyContin 80 mg holding my pain. Breakthru pain has been at least 2-3 times a day.
