Guest guest
Hi Everyone, what a helpful board. We are just stuck in the middle with our decision to band. Our baby boy is 9 months old, with plaio on his back left side from back sleeping. No development problems, always was great at tummy time, no tortocollis, so it should have corrected itself by now. We had his first consultation recently at CT in Toluca Lake/L.A. and his numbers are 5-7mm off (which I guess is moderate). So far everything we've heard from them and our ped is telling us to do it. Because there is no bad side effects from DOC, why not? Other than us noticing his head being flat, the other barely noticable thing is his ears are a bit misaligned. BUT, we just heard from a very nice neurosurgeon that in our case, it is uneccesary. He said that since he doesnt have tort. or any other developmental problems, it will correct itself eventually. And since he is older, the band may not work as well anyway. Any advice from people with older babies, or no tort? This board has so many resources but i having trouble finding evidence for what happened to babies that had flat head with NO tort that DIDNT band. Thank you! sorry so long...
