Here are a few facts from RSD Hope that might help some of the new members

with some of the questions that you might have.

RSD AND BLURRY EYES

Many patients with RSD suffer from periodic blurriness of the eyes. This can

last for days or even weeks, but normally goes away. However, it can return

periodically.

Why this happens is not exactly known but if you visit an Opthomologist

during these blurry periods they will not be able to see anything wrong so

it lends itself to probably being due to changes in the autonomic system

and/or a temporary flare of the RSD and Sympathetic nerves near the eye and

optic nerve.

RSD AND SWEATING!

Many but not all patients suffer from profusive sweating at various stages

of RSD. This is due to the autonomic system being out of whack. The

autonomic system is attacked by RSD.

" It's one of two ways that the Autonomic System acts. One is the Sympathetic

System; the other is the Parasympathetic System. The Autonomic system is

that part of the body which acts automatically; things like breathing,

circulation, and sweating. Unless we do Yoga, we don't usually try to change

these things, they just happen. The Parasympathetic system is what is

operating when we go to sleep or rest. The Sympathetic is what wakes us up,

and especially what operates when a lion comes around the corner. It's your

get-up-and-go, and especially, your " Fight or flight " Responses. "
