Jai,

I didn't exactly read clear thru that before I sent it, or else I probably

wouldn't have sent that one.

I agree with you......they are definately putting the cart before the

donkey!

Patients with several psychological syndromes (eg, major depression,

somatization disorder, hypochondriasis, conversion disorder) are prone to

developing CPS.

Hi Tonia,

I agree with this but for most of us the depression is secondary to the

chronic pain. Had I never have had the injury I had I would not have

suffered the RSD which caused the depression. My doc calls it " situational

depression. " Had I not been in this situation I would not have the

depression. I think that this is probably true for most of us. We had full

productive lives and never would have suffered depression until the dx and

trying to deal with living with chronic pain. I know a lot of us have

suffered loss of many things like independence, jobs, relationships, etc.,

the above puts the apple before the cart.

But I do appreciate the information because it is always good to get a different

perspective. Thank you, Take care, Love Jai

Jai,

Did it say somewhere to forward it to friends? I must of missed that part,

because I would of deleted those words. I actually DID read thru this one

before I sent it thru, because I really didn't want to start something by

sending it. But, I thought that it really said alot about what happens here

in this group among us, because It IS hard to determine whether someone is

joking or serious, whether they are happy, depressed, angry or sad.

I got everything I sent today from another group.....some I did read thru

before sending, some I didn't because I got a headache. I'm hoping that I

didn't send anything offensive.....or anything that bothers anyone because

of it. Thats not why I sent the information thru......I just sent it because

I was hoping that it would be informative for someone else.

Hi Tonia,

Didn't offend me because truthfully I didn't read through a lot of them, I had my hands full with my granddaughter today, some days she is so easy to have around, this was not one of them.

So some of what I did read was interesting.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to send those,

take care have a good night

Folks, before everyone gets their undies in a twist, Chronic Pain Syndrome is not the same diagnosis as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.....totally separate and distinctly different entities. Chronic Pain Syndrome is a psychiatric diagnosis while RSD/CRPS is a medical diagnosis. BarbaraTonia wrote:
