Guest guest
I laughed so hard I cried! Your post was TOO funny! Ohhhh, how I wish to get nasty with someone who is responsible for this mess instead of getting nasty with my poor husband and kids! I do really really like my surgeon. She is sweet and compassionate and she e- mails me right back if I ask her a question (and BOY have I sent her a lot of emails!) so I probably trust her and her alone to redo surgery if I decide to do so. I believe she waived the original surgeons fees because I have not received a bill for anything but hospital stay, labs and anesthesia. I believe the surgery problems came in the fact that UF is a teaching hospital and I was often bounced between surgeons for pre-op work (measurements and molds). She did not perform the measurements herself. The chief resident did that. She also did not perform the surgery soley, but assisted the chief resident (who conveniently opened up his own practice one week after my surgery and I haven't seen him since!). Also, if it makes you feel any better, my midlines were dead-on after surgery and are now 1-2 mm off, depending on how my teeth are moving at the moment. Right now, they are about 2mm off, last week about 1. It's noticeable, but nothing like yours! Geez! I guess we all just have such high hopes of having everything turn out perfect, and when it doesn't, it's an unbelievable letdown. I mean, this is our facial appearance for Pete's sake! Anyway, my ortho said to give the braces and elastics another month or so and see how far they can pull the teeth back before making a final decision. It really does help knowing that someone else has been in my shoes and that you have come out on the other side a much happier person. Thanks, Irish. You're the best! M. > > > > Oh my God!
