Wining that I might be too much of a chicken too, she wrote: ~~ There is something you can use to make it totally pain-free and some tattoo places actually sell it, but you can buy it yourself at any drugstore - it's called Emla cream and it works 100% of the time. It completely numbs the skin and the effect lasts for some time. You put it on and leave it on for an hour prior to the procedure, then wipe it off. We use it in hospitals on children when they are going to get IV's. Here is the product: http://www.emla-ad.com/ So you apply the cream and cover it with a special bandage or you buy the disk (like a patch) and apply it wherever you want your tattoo.
