Guest guest
My surgery date is set for Sept 24th! I'm having a LeFort upper, a BSSO and genio. Basically, upper jaw needs to be brought forward and down, and lower needs to be moved back, and chin lengthened 4 mm. My ortho had two surgeons for me to choose from, one a male and one a female, both of whom have done this thousands of times he said. I finally decided on the female doc. I'm in Singapore, where the surgery is subsidised, so it's costing about US$1,000 for everything. I'll be in the hospital for three days and then will stay over at my mom's place for a while. Surgeon says I'll be banded for a week, so hope it's not too bad. Counting down... getting nervous! Gil --------
Guest guest
Hi Gil, I'm going in for upper/lower/genio on October 3rd. I'm right there with you and getting more and more scared as time draws near! I remind myself all the time of why I am doing this and I pull out old pictures that I hated because of my crooked jawline for inspiration. We'll help eachother through the pre-op jitters. Guest guest
Hi Sharon! You have all my best wishes and good vibes for a terrific experience that will pass quickly, safely, and painlessly! It helps so much to have support like this... I can't imagine undergoing this alone, and not knowing what to expect. As the old saying goes, " There are no strangers, just friends we haven't met. " Whereabouts are you having your surgery? What do you need done? Anyone having it in late sSept/early Oct? Gil --------- > Hi Gil, > I'm going in for upper/lower/genio on October 3rd.
