Hi Jai

I finished my second day of needless orientation, but hell if they

want to pay me for viewing videos I've seen at least 3 times well

then let them.

I only had to do 3 hrs today because the woman I'm supposed to be

working with has been out sick for the last 2 days and the other

woman only had a vague idea what my responsibilities would

be...soooooo..I left work and took my daughter out for lunch since

they didnt have school today..we had a major water break which caused

a massive closure of businesses and schools.

I'm feeling the effects of working and attending therapy...ouch!

The poor guy doing my PT last night couldnt get my arm to relax no

matter how hard he tried, he finally gave up LOL and OT spent 20

minutes just working knots out of my elbow joint...gotta love this

crap, LOL.

I more than likely wont make 8hrs a day for quite sometime, but I'd

be happy with 4hrs or maybe 5 if the work is light enough.

If

I totally agree Jai.....I wouldnt wish this experience on anyone.

Take care Jai!

Donna - So glad to hear that so far you are managing with your return to work. Absolutely terrific !! Although I bet it takes a whole lot out of you, the distraction alone must be helpful. Eventually the paychecks will start to look good as well. My very best to you as you tackle this....and please say a prayer that I'll be talking about my returning to work soon. BarbaraDonna wrote:

Donna,

I am so happy everything is going well your first days back at work. You have been through so much with the pain and all an are still dealing with it. If you can't do 8 hours right now then don't push it too much. Maybe you will find that your endurance will slowly increase. Just take it one day at a time and I think it is very strong of you to go back, I would give anything to be able to go back. A lot of people say oh wouldn't it be great to not have to go to work each day? And I say be careful what you wish for it might come true!!! Under different circumstances it might be great like if I won the lottery and if I were healthy but at this point neither of those options seem too likely. Take care,, press on, Love Jai

Donna and Jai,

I agree with Jai, don't push yourself. You are going to have to work to get your endurance back up. I would love to go back to my job that is no longer there for me, but if my doctor tells me I can go back to work, my company kicks me out the door and I have to go on unemployment and start looking for work, I think the stress of all that would put into another flare cycle. So I am waiting to hear from Social Security. My doctor told me that was a wise decision, which means he thinks I could be off for a long time.

Anyway I just wanted to say that I get staying home would be nice and I say yes it would be if I was independently wealthy and not in constant never ending pain. They usually say oh yeah that's true. I am sure that there are people out there for those of us that can't work that think we are doing this so we wouldn't have to go to work.

So Donna I am glad that you were able to go back to work, and Jai take care of yourself,

Lin

Yup, Im feeling it for sure but I think that part of it poor

scheduling issues on my part....I had gone back to work yesterday,

left and went to OT for an hr, went home and did a few light chores

and drove almost 1/2 hr in the pouring rain to go to PT for another

hr THEN drive home again in the rain..I woke up in the middle of the

night with not only my arm swollen but my knee as well..I've been

having problmes with my left knee off and on for a little while but

its more constant now and I will have to address this with the good

dr.

Today was a fairly easy day thank goodness, just work and a little

bit of errands and chores...I'm relaxing tonight and will return

tomorrow at 9:30 but only work for about 3 hrs. Besides I am meeting

ginny for lunch and then we are going to border ies bedroom so I

HAVE to save some energy LOL

I will definetely keep you in my thoughts in hopes that you will very

soon be returning to work....it shouldnt be long at all!

Thank you for your words of encouragement as I try and make it over

the energy/pain hurdles..this is all still a trial run so we shall

see whether I can endure it or not..I hope so!

Love and Hugs

Im taking it pretty easy this week, its been mostly viewing

orientation videos that I can recite by now and filling out quizes

that a 4 yr old could answer..so no stress LOL. Tomorrow I will get a

taste of what I have going for me.

I am happy to be back at work because it keeps people off my case, as

long as Im trying then no one is harping me about it.

I agree that being home has definetely not been a picnic even having

the summer off and all. Maybe if I had the chance to travel, not

worry about money, do hobbies I enjoy, well then yes it probably

would have been alot of fun.

I have 2 more days and then I can relax, Im looking forward to the

weekend like millions of others but honestly how long will this

last..only time will tell.

Hugs
