Guest guest
Thanks Norma. I think I will buy some ground meat. I want to make Kari's mexican meatloaf too. I just put some parm. cheese on my chicken breasts which are on the grill. It is so windy and cold here. What a change from yesterday. a -- Lunch a you do not make your lunch but I guess you could do this for suppers. I brown hamburger and I add some Soya sauce, just a shake or two and grate cheese on it. I buy frozen veggies , one that has o carrots but is all cut up for stir fry. Easy. I usually cook enough of what I am having for supper to take to lunch the next day. Then I have a salad and some sugar free jello. Making an omelette is easy too . I just whip up a couple of eggs , sprinkle Parmesan cheese and grate regular cheese on it and cook for a couple of minutes and reheat at lunch. The kids love that I have a micro wave in my room as I can heat things up for them. Makes it easy for parents some days too. Guest guest
Oh I really better figure out what I am eating tomorrow night. Did you ever stick a frozen roast in the crockpot in the morning and eat it at night? Or should I stick it in tonight if it's frozen. I think it weighs about four or five lbs. -- Re: Lunch a put parmesan cheese on her breasts... How'd they turn out? Re: Lunch Thanks Norma. I think I will buy some ground meat. Guest guest
Yes, this works great! Add water and Lipton's Dry Onion Soup Mix. Makes a wonderful au jus. Leave it on high all day. It'll be falling-apart-tender by the time you're home from work. It's terrific. Is good over cauliflower too. And spaghetti squash. If you have a low-carb bread in the house, it makes a nice sandwich. Wish I had one in the freezer right now! :)Jane Oh I really better figure out what I am eating tomorrow night. Guest guest
I like to use a fair amount because I like the juice and because it then makes a great soup. So let's see --- I'd guess 5 or 6 inches of water. You certainly don't have to use that much. And that much water needs more seasoning or the flavor is diluted. For a big roast, use two packets of the soup mix. And if you can find the generic version, it's lower in carbs --- usually. Jane How much water? Yes, this works great! Guest guest
Sorry, a...I didn't read my email yesterday. I always pop a frozen roast in the crockpot in the morning...I add some water and seasonings, cook it on high for a little bit (while I am getting ready for the day) and then switch it to low. It comes out great every time! In fact, it's the only way I cook my roasts...can't ever remember to take it out to thaw, LOL! Oh I really better figure out what I am eating tomorrow night. Guest guest
Well I couldn't do the roast because sstupidly I stuck the whole package in a freezer bag and the original cellephane or whatever it is, is frozen to the roast. So it has been thawing since last night, is still too frozen to get it off. Hopefully in the morning I will be sticking that unfrozen baby in the crock pot. In the meantime Norma gave me a great idea for dinner. I sauteed some ground beef, diced canned tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, and some seasoningand covered thewhole thing with grated cheese. Now so you guys know what a pig I am, i think i had half to a whole pound of ground beef and I ate the whole thing and now I am sick But it was very very good going down. a -- Re: Lunch Sorry, a...I didn't read my email yesterday. Guest guest
a, I either run it under warm water or stick it, cellophane and all, into the microwave on defrost. Then into the crock pot!! Guest guest
Oh, we did eat a lot!! I did anyways! I had a big huge juicy mushroom and swiss burger. MMMMMMMM. Kylie ended up going with us. Vickie is a joy. We spent about 2 hours in the restaurant and then said good-bye. Vicki, Kylie and I went to find the food court in search of dessert and found a few stores to shop in. Finally found a food court and realized that we walked around the whole mall. Needless to say, our legs were burning. I couldn't wait to get home to get my shoes off. UGH. Vicki came in a spoiled my dogs before and after lunch!! She was so cute with them. They loved her and most new people they just run away from. She took them outside with me and Kylie too. We had a nice day. I am pooped and still not done with everything I need to do for the craft fair. I can't even think about it right now. I am getting a bit stressed. Gotta move! Guest guest
I had a really nice time. Vicki and Zanna were so easy to be with and the time just flew by! It is wonderful to get together with other people with this disease and compare notes. I appreciate the support so much! The time was too short and I hope we can get together again after the first of the year and have a longer visit! Kylie is so pretty, talented, and intelligent! I can't believe you two went walking around the mall! I came home and took a nap! And Zanna, you still have stuff to do for the craft fair! You need to rest sometime! Vickie Oh, we did eat a lot!! Guest guest
I forgot to mention, Vicki didn't have dessert after all. We both saw the cheesecake factory stand at the same time and I think we both started drooling at the same time!! LOL. We went in and for one slice was 6.50. Yikes. I was willing to pay though but we decided to look around. I had a pecan cinnamon roll at the cinnabon. Vicki opted out. That roll was yummmmmmy! Guest guest
Miss Vicki took the pics with her digital camera. I haven't had mine out for awhile and my scanner is not working. I have some real cute pictures of Vicki with the dogs that I can't wait get developed and posted. And, Miss Vicki will not get those dogs!!! However, I feel that $6.50 for a piece of cheesecake is too much, as well. You looked very slimmed down. Kudos to you!
