Dear Stacie,

I was very saddened to hear your news. I'd just posted a very

selfish-self-centred post, and this has brought things home to me

again.

You must be devastated and nothing i can say is likely to help. but

thankyou for sharing your news. I wish you all the luck and best

wishes in making your future decisions, and i'm praying for you.

Dear Stacie,

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. My heart truly goes out to you

and your family. You've had such encouraging words for me in the

past and now I just don't know what to say. I'm sorry and I'm

thinking of you.

One thing I do really see in your post and your story is incredible

strength, perseverance and grace. You had the courage to go the

distance with your AS and you did everything in your power. You are

a real inspiration!

I hope you are able to find some peace. You're in my thoughts.

Stacie,

I am so sorry. You sound so strong in your email but you still

brought me to tears. I am glad the physical and emotional torture

are over for you as far as the surgery and waiting and not knowing.

I am also glad that you are blessed with the family you have, yet I

want to scream because to me it still seems unfair.

Please take care, and if you ever want to vent, please do it here.

God bless,

Stacie,

I am so sorry Dr. Palter needed to give you this news. You sound so strong! Asherman's sure does take a chunk out of life to put it nicely. Anyway, I have this theory that different techniques will work on different people. Have you thought of a last sitch effort, and sending your records to Dr. Indman. Just my two cents, but then you know you have REALLY exhausted all of your posibilities. If you should ever decide to do surrogacy or adoption, there are many of us here who have gone both routes, and would be happy to share our experiences.

To all,Well, it's all over for me. I saw Dr. Palter yesterday because I had no period after my February surgery and no bleeding agter 10 days on Provera. He did an SHG and said that I am rescarred, although not shut, and my uterus opening looks like a pencil with the top being smaller than the catheter diameter. He does not suggest another surgery as he says he's sure I will just rescar again as I have no lining. He said my only alternative is surrogacy or adoption. My dh and I have decided that we are blessed with one child and we are finished. It has been so emotionally draining - I just want our lives back! I was basically expecting this, but it is still a great blow. I was holding on to a flicker of hope...like maybe my cervix had rescarred and once he broke through he would see a "perfect" uterus. Ha ha! On the positive side, it does bring closure to this whole thing. I want to wish all you brave ladies all the luck in the world. There are great doctors out there (Palter being one of them) and they make all the difference. I want to thank everyone in this group for being so supportive and informative, especially Poly. I will continue to preach about AS to all who will listen and direct everyone, particularly doctors, to this site. For all of you fighting this battle, I will think of you often and continue to include you in my prayers. Hugs and kisses for all the little babies currently in their Mommy's bellies, and for the ones not yet there. Also for all the those up in heaven. Be strong! It's been a pleasure!Stacie

Stacie,

So sorry to read your message, my heart goes out to you. I hope Dr.

Palter and the other doctors will learn enough from all our cases so

that someday all AS will be treatable.

Best wishes,

G.

Stacie,

I'm so sorry to hear of the news you recieved from Dr. Palter. You

were one of the first members to reach out to me and get me started

on this journey (I still take your directions each time I head to his

office) and I hate that your journey is ending this way. I hope that

you are able to find peace in this.

We are not that far from one another - please feel free to contact me

if you ever need someone to talk to.

Dear Stacie,

I am so sorry to hear your story. Our stories are so similar and I

can truly relate to the frustration/sadness of not having better

news after your surgery with an A-list. My outcome was the same. I

also understand the " holding out for the flicker of hope. " I too was

hoping that my AS was not as severe and that I would prove my RE,

who diagnosed me, wrong. However, he was right.

As others have written, you do sound like you still have strength

and with time things will get better. Just know that we are all here

for you.

Stacie,

I don't know what to say except I am very sorry. It must have been

very hard to hear that there is nothing more to be done. I hope you

are able to find some peace in all of this and I will keep you in my

prayers. Thanks for continuing to reach out to people and helping to

spread the word to others about AS.

Stacie,

Well I am so sad to read your email, especially as it comes from an A list decision. I was hoping to get better news from you. I don't want to get your hopes up but just remember that we have had a few members where A list doctors have told them they are a lost case and then suddenly they get some sort of period. I hope this is what will happen to you too.

Please remember to check your profile and send your updates to Ivana on marigagg@... We need to make sure that all members send their updates after any news they get.

Stacie,

I am so sorry that you did not get the good news from Dr. Palter that

you were hoping for. I wish with all my heart that were were some way

for your AS to be treated. But, as difficult as this may be for you,

I do hope that you can now focus more on the rest of your life. Your

strength and courage to do everything you possible could to fight

your AS is so admirable. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that

the future will bring you happiness and peace.

Take care,

Terry M.
