Guest guest
Hi Ging: When I first started taking methylprednisolone about a year ago, I went on " roller coasters " of doses that started at 40mgs for up to 10 days at a time, then slowly decreasing over a few weeks time. I must have done this about 4 times before I just went on methylpred full-time at 12mgs, which is equivalent to 15mgs prednisone. I did this for about 2-3 months before I tried the low-histamine diet and could start to decrease my pred dose without getting covered in hives. The moon face does indeed go away once you're off pred, but I think it can take awhile. Of course, the 40-50lbs that I've gained over the past 2 years isn't helping me to detect a decrease in my moon-face, but other people tell me that I look much better now that I'm on less pred. I know that someone else has said that hot showers really work for them---it must have been Ty since I see his reply. I'm glad that you've found something that helps! > Hi , > Thanx for your reply!
