When I get enough sleep I don't have too much pain. I think it is good she is keeping you on 4 mg Pred for the next 6 months. Give you time to stabilize everything! Hope your sleep gets better! Vickie Couldn't take it any longer so went to dr today. Good News: She is keeping me on 4mg of pred for another six months. Bad News: She is keeping me on 4mg of pred for another six months. With all the pain, etc. I've had on decreasing I wasn't sure if I wanted to still try to get off it. Since I've had a couple of good days in a row we decided to go ahead and try.... after seeing what my CPK have done.... BUT she didn't want to decrease any more at this time. Wants me to stay on 4mg for at least 6 mo. Sleeping: AS I knew, she had a fit when she heard what I have been taking to go to sleep.....3 extra strength Tylonol, 1 Benedrryl and 1 lorsapan (sp). No sleeping pills but I can go back to Trazadon .....suggested starting with 1 pill. She also gave me some samples of a herbal pill to try. Going to stay on Darvaset.....says it works as well as anything. Could get cortasoine shots in knees but have tried them before without much results. Will let you know abut CPK when I get my copy of the blood work they did today. End of report. No need in causing your body any more pain than it's already in. I hope the new sleeping pills work for you. I really feel bad for those of you who have sleeping problems. Since being back on 30 mg. of Pred., I've been having a bit of a hard time falling asleep, but my Flexeril is all that is needed to solve that problem. Good luck. Vicki.....I thought I kept that list you sent on herbs and what to take or not take with certain rx drugs.......would you send it to me please, I want to check it out cause I realy had a weird night.
