Guest guest Posted March 28, 2007 Report Share Posted March 28, 2007 Hi Cheryl, On our DOCband the slot (about 1/2 " wide) is over the right ear on the flat side, but not over the flat spot itself. On our STARband the slot was over the left ear, but it closed completely, so it didn't really affect the fit of the helmet. I can understand the concept of having the slot over the flat spot for daytime use (less pressure), but when he sleeps on it, does it stay away from the head? That would be my main worry - that there is always some 'room to grow' over the flat spot.
