Guest guest
That link doesn't seem to work for me. Anyone else have a problem? > http://www.geocities.com/heajses/index.html
Guest guest
I haven't quite figured out what's going on with these new postings. Every once in awhile a new user posts in this manner on site 2, then the same message within a short period of time here with a different user name here. Both link to different geocities sites that don't exist. In every case I've seen, the user has never posted any messages. Is there anybody in the group with ISD background who knows why someone would bother to do that? > http://www.geocities.com/heajses/index.html
Guest guest
Did you get a pop-up? It may be another way for spamming ... > > http://www.geocities.com/heajses/index.html
Guest guest
When I clicked on the link I got a warning from my anti-virus program about a trojan horse that existed on one of the sites that popped up, maybe that's it. > > > http://www.geocities.com/heajses/index.html
Guest guest
Nope. No pop-up. You go to the index page but it's blank. I've seen four of these now, 2 on each site, each pair at the same time. > > > http://www.geocities.com/heajses/index.html
Guest guest
Doesn't work here either. debs5210 wrote: > That link doesn't seem to work for me. Guest guest
Obvious question, but I don't know the answer.... Is it possible that this puzzlement is in any way related to the epidemic of viruses? I know. I'm paranoid. Guest guest
No, I don't think so. But I do think it's wise not to click on links if you don't know who the person or organization is. I've deleted the users and the posts from site 2. I'm still wondering if users with fixed IP addresses are at risk in clicking on these links. Anybody know? > > > > > http://www.geocities.com/heajses/index.html
Guest guest
, I'm on a fixep IP (cable modem) and since I got a virus, 5 years ago, I made it a point to never klick on anything I don't know. Eventhough I'm fully equiped on the security front, I don't tempt faith. Ray > No, I don't think so. Guest guest
Thanks, Ray. It didn't seem quite right to me. Hopefully I haven't let anything in the back door.
