new to group and new to rsd

hello group,

I was diagnosed with rsd in the left hand the first

week of oct.04. i suffered third degree burns to my left hand in

august,04. the dr's can't beleive how fast or how bad the rsd has

effected me. i am not having any fun!!!!!!!!!! iam on several meds

and all ready have had a scs implanted and that is helping some.

anyways my question is i am having trouble with my eye

sight,especially trying to read novels,magazines,ect...... anybody

else experiencing this. any help with this or with dealing with this

whole situation would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Welcome to the group. I was dx in July with RSD and have only been treated with meds. I agree it's no fun..and I never wanted to play. I have had my right eye dx with optic neuritis in the last month..makes it hard to read some but night vision is really bad. The attribute this to an auto-immune disorder..haven't decided which one yet since I have many. Nhhdguy--Welcome to the group!! Rsd is a monster...but we have this group here to help each other cope. Hope it helps you too. There are many members and there is a well of information from many years of folks dealing with this horrible disease. My eyesight ha been bad since 4th grade so i don't think the rsd had anything to do with it. Maybe someone else has some insight for yo on that topic. Good luck !
