I mentioned that the lyme came back positive and he said oh no that is still pending...until I pointed out the results....he just blew it off and told me I live in a low risk area for lyme. You can now see why my opinion of him is that of a jackass. Oh well, not going to dwell on it as long as I do not have to see him again...he can mis-dx and mis-treat other people and not me. As soon as I know more I will fill you all in..Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving...Hugs..Ginny

Hi Ginny,

this guy does sound like a jack-@$$! It is so weird how much you and I have in common, I was dx with Lyme disease in 2000. It was caught early I was treated right away and have had no further problems from it. I had a friend who was not caught early and she had major neuro problems, she was a nurse who I worked with and ultimately she had to go on disability from it. If you think you have it see someone else right away!!! Hope you had a nice holiday, Take care, Love Jai

Jai, I agree..I see my primary tomorrow morning and am bringing all labs with me. i am also going to ask him to put me back on methatrexate..or see if he will start remicade. I know he would put me back on a med for RA but I don't know if he will start me on a new one without a rheumatologist first starting it. But I figure someone has to start treating the optic neuritis. I am also going to ask about lyme and treating me for it. I didn't need another disease right now...I guess soon I will have had everything or anything you can get that is considered an auto-immune disoder or related to one. I will not be going back to the jackass in 2 months..would rather wait 6 months for an appt with a dr who actually knows something. How are you feeling..is the pleurisy all gone or stilll lingering? Today it has been pouring here with very high winds...want to be in a warm dry climate about now...or bed. Hope you could enjoy the beach

today...Hugs..Ginny

PS...we have so many medical problems in common....wonder if someone would want to study us...lol.jaismonkey@... wrote:
