Guest guest
Sorry I have been so quiet today. I am not quite sure whether I should be apologizing for that or not!! LOL. Number one is, I have been really sick I think from the double dosage of my IVIG over the last two days. I am wondering if my potassium supplements should have been doubled too. Number two is that we had our windows and carpets cleaned today and then went to MIL's house to pick up Brody. I was doing OK until on the way home when I got really ill. We had to stop at Wally world and my knees nearly gave out and I started shaking and got wobbly. I haven't felt like that in a year or so. Plus, I have this killer headache that is just finally starting to let up after taking vicodin all day and recently two tylenol. Number three is I accidentally blocked all my emails under my AOL preferences instead of blocking another email address that I rarely use! So, I didn't get any messages at all today and have a horrible time reading them right from the website. I tell ya, my brain has been a major malfunction lately. Lelia, I did manage to read your stories of life in death and thought they were inspiring. Thank you for sharing. Oh, and I saw that there was a newbie-WELCOME!!! Talk to you all later, Zanna
Guest guest
Hi Zanna! Sorry to hear you are feeling badly still! I started taking potassium a couple of weeks ago--I don't know if I am starting to feel better because of that or the IVIg finally kicking in, but it is such a relief! Anyway, I don't think it would hurt to try the potassium for a couple of weeks and see if it makes a difference. Hope you get some rest and feel better soon! Vickie orry I have been so quiet today. Guest guest
Hi Vickie, I am feeling better now. I did feel pretty crummy until about 1:30. I slept in as much as I could and took the girls (Kylie and Steph) to church. I parked it on the couch and watched trading spaces, while you were out and some of the BBC's Changing rooms, and house invaders. I love the decorating shows. thinks I am addicted. NO WAY!!! Could be worse!!! I love Don 's too. Hubby wants to take me to Red Lobster for dinner, just us. We got 75.00 in Gift Certificates for Christmas so would like to use them. Plus they are having all you can eat shrimp right now which he loves. I LOVE lobster the more butter the better! Zanna
Guest guest
Hi Zanna! Glad you are feeling better! I love those decorating shows too. I don't watch much tv, but an occasional day sitting in front of HGTV is nice and relaxing! Red Lobster sounds good too! Their rolls are sooo good! We have gift certificates to go to the Outlander steakhouse, but haven't had time to do it yet! We were supposed to go in December, but something always keeps coming up! I've been working on my stamps and playing with my grandson all day...been nice. Vickie Hi Vickie, I am feeling better now. I did feel pretty crummy until about 1:30. Guest guest
Hi Annette! I sell rubber stamps! I sell them on ebay and from my website. It is a small business but it brings in a little extra money--not like I was making at "my real job", but anything helps. I have 57 sheets of images that I sell, and I am working on about 60 more! I am sending them out next Monday and should get them back by the end of March. I get images from old books, or alter photographs, or draw them. You can see them on my website under rubber stamps, and you can see my artwork when you go to my "aboutme" page and click on the "myart" link. The main link and about me link are below. http://www.vickieenkoff.com http://www.vickieenkoff.com/myart I belong to a lot of stamping groups and have met some great friends that way, both online and in person. My favorite things are collage and art journals, and I also like making handmade books and multi-media arts. I don't consider myself a great artist, but I have fun and manage to make money with it too, so art has been good to me! I've been off long enough I figured I better make some more images to increase my income. Who knows how long before I will be able to return to work! Vickie Hi Vickie... Guest guest
Vickie In the 80's I designed & manufactured unmounted rubber stamps for the hobby ceramics field. Then the stamp rage hadn't started so I was a little before my time. It was really enjoyable and I loved doing the shows. Teddi mailto:teddifromok@... Guest guest
Wow, that is neat to know! Yes, you were before your time! Now people are starting stamp companies all over the place! My daughter and I used to sell at conventions and it was so much work. Everyone would be all excited and energetic and we would go home exhausted. It was fun, but I couldn't handle a convention now! There is one place in Placentia (near his parents) called Brooklyn Pizza that is fabulous. It is just in a strip mall and was origianally owned by an Italian family. Now a Greek family owns it. We were afraid it would lose something but the food is as good as ever. We usually have the homemade pizza and antipasta. I love their eggplant parmasian-mmmmmm!
