I went to a seminar in August, but never heard anything from the surgeon. I called the surgeon's office in October and was told I needed to see a dietician, psychologist, proof of weight loss attempts, thyroid test, and a picture proving I have been overweight for 5 years. Luckily, I only saw the psychologist and the dietician and two weeks later I was approved through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. I have a consult on Wednesday, November 15,2006 and I will receive a surgery date. I am excited and nervous st the same time. More info to come. I am Lori and I just had my visit with the doctor on Wednesday the 8th of November and I have to have a pap, colon check, sleep test, psyh.test visit dietician, and then they will set my date if they all feel that I am ready for the surgery.
