My husband went of medication one time when we didn't have

insurance. He had to ride his bike 5 to 7 miles every day to keep his

blood sugars under control. It was a little hard to do that though.

He would have 1 cup of cereal with milk in it for breakfast, have an

apple for a snack, and then a low carb PREA bar for lunch (has21 grams

of carbs, 17 grams sugar alcohol carbs) the total impact carb is 2

ggrams. It was hard to keep his sugars in the 200's but he did that.

Going off his medication made him loose weight.

I don't know if this is totally healthy, but eventually we decided

that he should get a good insurance and stay with the medication.

Low carb burgers are awesome for diabetics. Any way, I just

thought I 'd share how my husband did when he was off medication.
