Guest guest
The problem with Colorado is that the cranial-facial doctor and the neurosurgeon at Children's Hospital do not support treating plagio, and are adamantly opposed to banding. So much so that they host seminars, where they speak in front of all the pediatricians in the region, blasting banding treatment. Makes it very hard for parents to find a doctor who is willing to recommend treatment that opposes the advice of arguably the most qualified doctors in the region. If you look regionally at the map of the U.S., Cranial Technology clinics are not located in any of the states where the Denver Children's Hospital is influential. So, in Colorado, it's not really an insurance thing. It's more a problem trying to find a doctor willing to support it. I do not have Kaiser insurance, and had absolutely no problem at all getting 100% coverage from my Blue Cross on the medical expense. The travel, of course, was out of pocket. I grew up in San Diego, and took my daugther for her initial consult and casting to CT there. It was extremely reassuring to see CT located on the same campus as the Children's hospital, and to find their office in the same building as the children's neurosurgeons. Glad to hear Kaiser in California is supportive!
