HI! I have Hanger - not Starband - so I can't speak directly to that - BUT my dd also out grew her band - it was 10 weeks though. I think 4 seems short too! I was shocked at 10 weeks. We just got a 2nd band to try and correct more if possible. Is there alot of foam on the inside or is it pretty thin?

I think that , one of the moderators, her daughter outgrew her first helmet in about 5 weeks. Perhaps can give more details.

4 weeks seems really fast! How much did your daughter's head grow in

that time?? My son wore his STARband for about 5 months before we

switched to a DOCband, but his head only grew about 2cm in diameter

those 5 months. If your daughter hit a growth spurt it might be time

for a new one. If so, consider yourself lucky that you had the band

on for that month! :)

That does seem very short. My daughter was banded at 9 months and her band lasted 12 weeks. Please let us know what you find out.

Angie and Jenna(STAR grad)

??? Please Help ???

Hi,I am new to this group my dd Jenna was diagnosed at 4 mos with tort and plagio, she is almost 7 mos now. She has been in the Starband for 4 weeks on Friday. Went to ortho today for adjustments and he said the band may only have 1 more adjustment left. He wants her to be rescanned on Friday. My question is, shouldn't this band have lasted longer than 4 weeks? She has had major improvement on the flat side of her head, but she still have major ear offset. But she is far from being done with it. How long has your Starbands lasted? We thought that when she got the band it was too tight. Will insurance pay for another band? I am just so confused about this and don't know what to think or even do at this point. She's getting PT for the tort and doing very well with it. Any advice would be great.Thank-You,TinaMama to Jenna Rae 6 3/4mos old Starband
