Guest guest
I worry -- weren't there some of you who were either up for surgery yesterday, or still in the hospital, during the Big Blackout? I hope not... Let us know how you fared, if you were... I know most hospitals have blackout backups, but this thing seems to have been soooo big and sooo comprehensive. Guest guest
I was in one of the affected areas -- NYC. Because things were so crazy in the city (took me 4 hours to get home from midtown), I just knew that my son's surgery (tomorrow) would be rescheduled ... usually the " elective " surgeries are the first to be put on the back burner. To my surprise, the nurse called first thing on Friday morning and said his surgery was still on. She said that the only surgeries that were rescheduled were those on Friday. Hopefully, no one in an affected area had one scheduled for then. However, she did say that the hospital had emergency generators, so they did just fine. Tee's Mom (P.S. Thanks to all for the hospital supply recommendations.) > I worry -- weren't there some of you who were either up for surgery > yesterday, or still in the hospital, during the Big Blackout?
