Kenji came home the Saturday before Christmas. They still could not offer an explanation as to what happened. It took him nearly another week to start feeling close to normal. We went to their house last night for New Year's Eve. He got Robin a pool table for Christmas so they had a pool tournament. There were a lot of people there and it was $5.00 to play and Kenji won and took the $100.00 pot! He also got her a brand new sectional with hide-a-beds and recliners. She's spoiled!

Hey Zanna!

I was just talking to an old friend the other day, and she said that her son had a really high temperature and vomiting. He went to the hospital and they couldn't figure out what it was and ran all kinds of tests. Thought he had meningitis. He was sick for a week and then it mysteriously disappeared. That was in September. He lives in California too. It makes me wonder if there is some weird virus going around that the doctors haven't identified. Glad Kenji is doing better!

I guess maybe, she is. Sounds like a lucky gal. So glad to hear he's

feeling better, but I don't think I'd sit back and let them away with

not finding a solution as to what happened to me. I would be petrified

of it happening again. He's very fortunate, that's for sure. Sorry to

hear your back is still giving you such a hard time. I'd give it a

couple more days and if it's still bothersome, you should ask for a 2nd

opinion.

You really outdid yourself on that parcel you sent us, you know that

don't you??? We couldn't get over the great stuff that you sent to us.

It was almost like having Christmas all over again. The girls were

especially thrilled with the little pony thingies you sent and Marlee

loved the necklaces and makeup sets. The clothes are great and thanks

to you, we won't need to get Marlee too awful much more for next

summer's wardrobe. The cross-stitch things were cute too. I do the

counted cross stitch, not the stamped, however, that stamped version of

the Lord's prayer is very nice, so I'll probably wip that up some time

and frame. Thanks again doll!

  • 4 weeks later...

Kenji's infectious disease finally told him what was wrong with him.

He had something called Q Virus. It is extremely rare. It is passed from sheep when they are giving birth. The doctor thinks that possibly the golf course had fertilizer that had been contaminated with it since he does spend a lot of time there (never at any farms!!) and he said the virus can live for years in the waste. Very weird. He told Kenji that he was a very lucky man because most people that have it are hospitalized for weeks to months.

Thank you all for all your prayers and Robin says thank you sooooo much too!
