Hi Zanna, LIT is where the inject the woman with some white blood cells from the husband to stimulate the immune system to 'block' the baby from attack. Dex is dexamethasone another steroid with less side effects. I don't even bother with my local rheumies anymore. They were shockingly uninformed. My next step now that I have my reproductive issues addressed is to go to an academic center like Hopkins to see if I have myositis, polymyositis etc. and meniere's disease. My hearing loss improved greatly with prednisone!

Before I was dx, I was pregnant with our son and nearly lost him several

times throughout the pregnancy.  He was born 10 weeks early but at the time

we didn't know why.  He was only 3 pounds.  We lost 2 babies between our

daughter and son.  I was dx 4 months after our son was born.

I don't know why your rhuemy hasn't done those tests but he should and right

away.  The longer you wait the more damage to your body.
