Zanna--glucose and potassium

I hadn't eaten for awhile when I had my labs done. This is the first time that my glucose had be out of range. He is going to have me do it fasting next time. One thing I have a huge problem with-fasting!!!

Yes, Zanna, my potassium was okay in the complete metabolic panel done on

12/27-02. I like bananas but they don't like me I guess.

Regarding the glucose, like SAB said, elevated can be from non-fasting or

pred. Mine on that test above was 211 but it was only about 1 hr after I

had eaten. Still doc wasn't happy so she did one of those H--- ones that

measure your average over 3 months and it was just fine. My labs, unless

they're fasting, always show high on the glucose.

Cold (8º early this morning) and little snowy here---we're catching the side

of the one that went down into OK and north TX chasing Teddi to Dallas. I

wish we'd have 2 feet!!! Really I do.

My new cat, Tommy Buttons (he likes to play with buttons on my tops), the

former outdoor only cat, is now a bona fide house cat. I went into town

earlier and he told me not to stay long cause he didn't want to stay outside

long. Course he has a whole huge hay shed plus other outbuildings he can go

into. But......he likes the wool blanket on my recliner but he shares the

car nicely.
