Guest guest
I'm trying to send a pic thru of my grandferrets and keep getting mail delivery failure. Wanted to see if a letter would go through w/o a picture attached. Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and didn't wear yourselves out. I ended up having my MIL and 's boyfriend over for a turkey dinner. Forgot the Stove Top Stuffing but had plenty of other stuff to do damage! Had each person say "I'm thankful to God for...." instead of a usual prayer so everyone was involved. Guest guest
- I'm glad that you had what sounds like a smooth sailing holiday. I like the idea of having each person say what they are thankful for. Ours was a day of mixed blessings. A dear family friend, only 52 died of an aneurysm only 4 days after being diagnosed with leukemia. None of us had a chance to say good-bye to him...sad.., but I'm grateful for him that that he didn't suffer through what was going to be a long illness. Also my closest friend, who had been admitted to the hospital (hemorrhaging) around the same time, managed to get discharged in time to have Thanksgiving with her family. THis was her eighth hospitalization this year for the same reason. I'm truly blessed to have her in my life and am grateful for every second of it. Each day is a gift. This next part is supposed to be a secret so....shhhhhhhhhhhh...She and her husband had each of the family members last night unscramble an anagram that informed us "we are pregnant." As my sister's someday-we-will-have-children are the closest I will ever come to becoming a grandmother, I was tickled from the inside out. This niece, in particular, laugh about how she and I share the same DNA.....We're very close. In fact she called me in the middle of the night on the night that she first lost her virginity....Very funny. I can't WAIT to meet this new little person. It's a good thing I'm broke right now or I'd be buying out the stores. I hope that everyone here had a warm holiday with their family and were able to take a moment to reflect that, even in the face of all of our struggles, we each have many blessings.
