If you have pets in the house be careful with leaving ribbon laying around. Last year my brother's cat got a hold of a 12 inch piece of ribbon and ate it. The ribbon got tangled in the cat's intestines and the cat had to have surgery to the tune of $2500!!! The cat is fine now thankfully. Cats love to play with the ribbon but it can really hurt them.
