I had to take a one hour pre op class and at the end of that class, I was

given a multiple question test. It was very basic things and I got them all

right. It was given to my surgeon and he went over it with me.

One of those questions confused me, It is true that during surgery one might

require a blood transfusion right? But the donor blood is screened for AIDS

and Hepatitis I thought.

Ohh that reminds me.. we did take a test and the seminar. It was

put into our file at the dr office. I had forgotten about that.

Lori Anne,

I just wanted to say good luck to you. You're date is coming up soon and

I know that you're very prepared for it; much more so than I was. When I

first joined this group, you were the most helpful with information and

advice even though you were pre-op and I was blown away by the

information you had. I hope that one day I can be as inspiring to

someone else the way you have been to many on this message board. I know

you don't need me to say this but here's hoping you achieve all your

goals and become more beautiful on the outside(than you already are of

course) than you are inside.

Hi T.

Oh thank you for such lovely words and I am so happy that I found this group

to learn and share from. It is a collaboration of beautiful, supportive and

highly informed people who are experiencing the issues that I as a pre-op only

can speculate about. I feel ready to receive surgery and I am prepared for

the lifestyle change and all I can do is pray that the surgery goes well with no

complications and that I can keep up the vitamin regimen and the water. See

when we put our hearts and minds together there is nothing we can't overcome,

no fear we can't tackle and no craving that we can't conquer LOL. I LOVE THIS

GROUP AND ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN IT :o) Now girls let's go out there and

shock them boys lol :)
