TV graphics often bother me such as those you described in #4---VERY often. some of this increased neurologic sensitivity can be attributed to aging. we have a " labyrinth " in our inner ear, for example (it's really called the labyrinth) which is lined with tiny hairlike projections. these can stiffen over time, and the fluid in the labyrinth can become unevenly distributed, causing vertigo or dizziness. " Otoliths, " little pieces of hardened calcium, can float around in the labyrinth and cause loss of balance. as well, stiffening of the 3 ear bones- - - vicki, what are the names?---stapes, malleolus....it's stirrup, anvil, and hammer in English----can cause odd auditory sensations. #3 above sounds like " benign positional vertigo " ---here's an article on that: http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic57.htm #3 could also be something as simple as low blood pressure ---when you do, quick positional changes can result in the symptoms you describe. this is called postural hypotension, and here's an article on THAT: http://www.drdaveanddee.com/hypotension.html i hope all this helps. i guess the theme of what i'm writing, though it didn't answer your " is this caused by diabetes? " question, is Old Age Isn't For Sissies. :-) however, it beats the alternative, doesn't it? all the best kcd
