Guest guest
I have used them. I have not used the Atkins, but have eaten similar bars and they are quite good. Lin Lhsh@... American by birth, Saved by the grace of God. Protein Bars - Like Atkins? Are these acceptable alternatives to a protein shake? I have had a couple of bites, but haven't eaten a whole one. They seem to be good sugar wise, and have about 17 grams of protein in each bar. They are about 50 calories more than a protein shake - but they do taste a lot better! Guest guest
Protein bars and shakes don't seem to fill me up. I seem to need something more dense and/or volumuous. > > I have used them. Guest guest
I get better results out of the bars than I do the shakes. Usually what I will do for breakfast is to have a Glucerna and a couple of pieces of cheese and that usually holds me until about mid morning and then usually I will get some sort of snack that is usually high in protein. Guest guest
Just check the calories, some bars are high in protein, low in carbs but 300 plus cals. not worth it to me , I usually go with a piece of fruit or veggie instead. JMHO.

Guest guest
These are fine. You are getting in your ptotein and I always have done better on these. It is real food and sticks with me longer than the shakes. Hugs!! > > Are these acceptable alternatives to a protein shake? I have had a couple > of bites, but haven't eaten a whole one. Guest guest
I have to agree with you about the shakes. They just don't stick with me either and usually have eaten some cheese with them as well. Lin Lhsh@... American by birth, Saved by the grace of God. Re: Protein Bars - Like Atkins? These are fine.
