Hi Lin, I too have had to use a number of assistive devices to get around over the past years since my injury. Your trip to the zoo caught my eye. My very first real trip out (years ago) after injury and dx with RSD was to the zoo. My Dad knows how much I love it and planned the trip to boost my spirits. He pushed me in a wheelchair all day and we had a blast. It was the first time I smiled in a long time. I have such a love for animals and have a plan. I am hopefully going to be able to drive soon. As soon as I can I am going to go back to school to be a vet tech. I am an RN but figure I have a lot of time on my hands and it is a dream of mine to do that. I have some memory problems but hopefully can overcome the physical and cognitive difficulties. I would start in the spring but have a trip to Spain coming up in February. I will start summer courses at a local Univ. Maybe someday we could go to the zoo together and WALK around LOL!!!!!! Hope you are doing well, take care, Love Jai
