Guest guest Posted February 5, 2004 Report Share Posted February 5, 2004 I have a question to ask of anyone who may be able to help. I have a CD-RW Drive and have had for sometime now. However, I cannot get it to recognize discs when they are inserted, either pre-recorded discs of music or games or programs or blank discs. I have tried to update the driver, I have removed and re-installed the software for the program for the CD-RW and I have tried to clean the laser lens, but it will not recognize the disc to do that. Guest guest Posted February 5, 2004 Report Share Posted February 5, 2004 Beth, Right click on My Computer Click on Properties Click on Hardware tab Click on Device Manager Open the DVD/CD - Rom drives (click the + sign) Right click on your CD-RW and click Properties Under the General tab is Device usage: set to > Use this device (enable) ???
