Guest guest
Goodmorning Everyone ***Could they be training the dogs to fight? **** No, they know I would fight for that to be stopped big time...plus, very illegal out here. Although it doesn't stop some. ****I don't blame you about worrying about the rest of the neighborhood.**** This is a very quiet place to live. I moved out here to get away from people and of course, my ex. But, we have many people who ride there horses and there dogs go along. We have hikers that climb the rocks... they also take there dogs along with them. ****God forbid those dogs attack a child and we know it could happen. **** When I called animal control they said that once they start the bitting process and it's a pack of dogs, it's not going to stop any time soon. ****Did the horse vet give you anything for Addie?**** Yes he did but the ear is infected now. I was able to shoot peroxide in it last night. Tonight I better warm it up a bit though, I didn't realize it was so cold until I got some on my hand. She screamed like I was killing her. ****Say, are you protected when walking on your property?***** Protected like how? ****But I think stringing up wire and electrifying it is a great idea!**** Yesterday she left two messages on my answering service. One, at 10am, to tell me she got my message that there was a problem. The other, an hour later, said she was going to call the Highway Patrol to document all of this since I didn't feel the need to call her back. I called her back at 11:30, 30 minutes after her last call. She said she couldn't talk to me and would call back at 7pm. Ok! She called at 7pm and right off the bat she told me that she wanted to speak her piece before I accused her of doing wrong. Went on to say that her hubby heard the dogs fighting and went up there and beat the crap out of all of them. Then he put them in the house for the rest of the day. She also said that Addie was just as much to blame for her getting hurt as her dogs were because she's sticking her head through the fence line. AND, that my dogs go onto her property so if there dogs attack, it's only my dogs fault..... after which she said I could now speak. LOL (felt like I was back in school) Anyway, I just simply told her that over the course of years that I've lived here they have never been wrong or did anything wrong. Although I'm the only one with dead dogs, broken windows, horses with broken jaws, torn eyes and mangled lips. I also told her that what Mike had said about gathering up the dogs was a blatant lie but I expected nothing more from him. I also told her that the dogs attack as a pack now, which she doesn't believe, and that it's going to take someone else to get really hurt before she wakes up but if that happened I would be the first in line to testify that they knew the dogs were aggressive. I told her that it was a very good idea to call the Highway patrol to document everything that's going on out here. I also asked her why is it always me that has to spend the money to control animals? Hers and mine. I think once she realized that THIS time I was not going to give one inch, she said that this weekend she will put up some chicken wire so Addie and her dogs can't stick there head through the fence line. We'll see, I don't think it will happen. I've been waiting 9 yrs for them to repair the fence there cow destroyed. Nothing has been done there either. Anyway, she believes her insane hubby and I'm not going to let this go. *****Maybe the kid will walk over to the electrified fence and get a good jolt and be transformed as a result!***** This statement cracked me up because the minute I read it, I wanted to finish it by saying " A QUEEN " ..... The father next door is very macho.... and that would be one way to get that kid to leave home. Oh aren't I bad but if it would transform him I'm all for it. ****So what are you doing to take care of yourself and your arms??? Does heat help? **** A lot of rest and the heating pad really helps. I sleep with it on every night. Typing puts stress on the muscle, right arm on the inside up by the shoulder. Starts to burn something horrible that I have to stop. TAke care, Vicki
Guest guest
Phew! Sounds like you're having quite a time with those neighbours of yours, Miss Vicki. I'm glad you're not backing down any and hopefully she will take the initiative to put the chicken wire up. That would save you a big expense, I'm sure. They sound like they have quite a bad attitude and no matter what happens, they will always be the innocent party involved. Some peoples children...honestly!! I sure hope Addie improves quickly and that Peroxide will help ease the infection. Poor baby.
