Guest guest
Welcome Dan.. I've heard some pretty odd things, but that takes the prize! How else are you supposed to get your nails cut?? Do they think they don't need it? Some believe that hair and nails grow FASTER. I wish I could tell you where to find some printed info on this.. but I am not sure there isn't any. Again, welcome. We look forward to getting to know you better. Hugs, Jo

Guest guest
Dan, Hello! My name is Lyn. Welcome to this group. I don't even know where to start. Statements like that are an attempt to discredit and deny your medical benefits. We all know that. It is intended to rattle you. Don't let them do that! Don't let them reduce this to a matter of cutting or not cutting your nails. I did not see that on the list of symptoms to diagnose RSD!!!! Well, you got me wound up here. So I haven't really helped you except to repeat: Don't let that attorney get under your skin. He will say and do anything. Have you ever tried to debate with someone who won't stick to the subject? They drag in the most absurd things to distract you in order to get you down and beat you and even make you question your own sanity. I'll step down....grumble, grumble, grumble. Guest guest
Dan, Welcome to the group. I have had lawyers take video of me carrying groceries in my house to disprove my disability...I am a single mom of 2 children who is going to shop and bring in the groceries if I don't. But the judge did notice that every i carried was light except for a gallon of milk..and that I could only carry 1 bag at a time and it took me a long time and several trips...and sided with me on the judgment. It wouldn't surprise me anymore what creative means lawyers can come up on the other side to disprove anyone disabled. I am glad that I have my SSDI and W/C settled and all I have pending is a car accident which caused the RSD..but if they are bring up you going to get your nails cut wonder what they will say about me getting my nails done every 2 week with acrylic fills. I have been having them done for 3-4 years now...and it used to be relaxing..now it's a chore...but I am sure they won't care about that. Good luck with winning your case. I know my nails on my right hand grow faster as does my hair growth on my right arm and excessive growth. It's actually a symptom of RSD that nail growth can either slow or speed up depending on how it affects the individual. Having you nails done actually can prove you can't do it yourself so you have to have someone else cut them for you and may backfire on the lawyer for bring it up in the first place...Well welcome to the group..Ginnymerledank wrote: I am new to this group. Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Dan. Although I'm not involved in WC or any legal situation with regard to my RSD, I'm amazed at the lengths that some of these attorneys and evaluators will go to in order to avoid having to shell out a nickel. Criminal. I hope that others here will be able to answer your question. I just wanted to offer my support and a sincere welcome. Hope to see you posting more. There are some terrific folks here.
