Hand/Foot Cramps

Hey Gang!

Anyone suffer from severe cramping in the hands or feet? I have had problems

with my feet due to peripheral neuropathy caused by comression nerve damage

after surgery...I was in bed too long and compressed a nerve in my left leg.

I am now geting some wierd cramping in my hands. My fingers become stiff and

there is extreme pain. Most often it happens when I am using my hands like when

holding a fork! Alright, quit laughing, but its true. My wife saw my hands cramp

up and stiffen during dinner Saturday night. It took about 15 minutes to work

out the pain and stiffness. My hands looked like crippled claws. My nutritionist

is researching my blood work and vitamin composition to see if it could be a vit

problem. I don't take any diuretics but I drink a lot of Crystal Light every day

(about 64 oz a day). I have a couple of cups of regular coffee in the morning

only and the Crystal Light the rest of the day.

Anyone else have this?

Hi Bob, I got the leg cramps bad for a long time it would wake me up at

night. A friend told me it sounded like a potassium (sp?) deficiency.

So, I started eating a banana a day and the cramps went away, don't know

if that would work for you or not.
