Guest guest
Hi ! Everyone, I would like to share with you guys our GREAT NEWS ! My original message is # 140846 letting everyone know that I was new to the group with twin boys wearing STARBand and have UHC PPO with the company I work for. Somehow, UHC paid 80% of the $1800 price per helmet. Nicklas and got their helmets on Monday Feb. 13,2006. graduated from his helmet on Thursday June 8,2006. Nicklas is still wearing his. He has an appointment with Dr. Vanderwood with Orthopedic Services Inc. on Friday Sept.1, 2006. Initially, I submiited a Pre-service appeal with Ancillary Care Management for both Nicklas and and got denied. A claim was filed by Ancillary Care Management as the Provider and service rendered at Orthopedic Services Inc. UHC paid Ancillary Care Management for the medical supplies ( cranial remolding orthosis S1040 ) then Ancillary Care Management turn around and paid Orthopedic Services Inc. While trying to appeal first, I've already paid Orthopedic Services Inc. $1200 per helmet. With, UHC paying for 80%, we are due back a refund of $1608 ( $804 per helmet ). OH...it took a few months to get this done. For others who are battling with UHC, be persistance and stay on them.
