Guest guest
, My HSG went just fine. It didn't take long at all (5-10 minutes), and it wasn't very painful. They don't use any anesthesia; my RE just recommended taking ibuprofen beforehand. She also put me on antibiotics in case of infection - if you have an HSG, make sure you get antibiotics. The person that did the procedure wouldn't tell me anything; she said that I have to wait to talk to my doctor about it next week. Yes, the HSG was the first thing my RE suggested after an ultrasound. From info I've gathered from this group, there are three ways to diagnose Asherman's: an HSG, and SHG, or a diagnostic hysteroscopy. The hyst. is the best for diagnosing it, but most doctors will want to try one of the other methods first. Oh yeah, to answer your other question, I live in Denver. I went to grad school at Penn State, though! Fran
Guest guest
Fran, Sorry that you have to wait until next week to get your HSG results but I'm glad it was fast and went well. I know when I had my u/s to see if they could see anything before I was diagnosed with AS, I had to wait until the next week to get the results and the waiting was hard. Hope the time goes fast for you and that you get good news. I'm happy they gave you antibiotics too. Enjoy your weekend! Roxie
