Dear & All:

I'd be coming in from Newark & was shocked when I saw the airfare too & I, as

well would have trouble flying direct. I could probably get a flight to the

West coast for less!! I checked Amtrak & it's a bit more than a third of the

price, that it would cost to fly. But traveling for 7-8 hours, doesn't really

" float my boat " and you would have a much longer trip from VA. I sent a note

to Continental & might try some others too, because on the frequent flier

site they mentioned some programs that they have, wherein they make deals, if

there is a large group all going from one destination to another & another one

for a large group, coming from all different places and going to the same place,

which would be the category we would be in. I don't know if anyone has ever

questioned the airlines on things like that, but just maybe we could all get a

deal as a big nonprofit group, since we pretty much would all be flying to

the same airport, outside of some people who may be going to other places,

first. Should I find any promising info from any airline, I shall inform the

Buffalo group & they might want to include that in the conference info. I

figured,

it couldn't hurt & if you don't ask, you don't know!!!

Good idea, ! I think they do this for the speech convention every year -

you get a deal on airfare...

Good idea, ! I think they do this for the speech convention every year -

you get a deal on airfare...
