Guest guest
Not too soon at all, you may have to thin the potatoes out w/ milk...but you should be set to go! You'll have to talk to Ronnie...the mashed potatoes king/specialist about his different types of potatoe treats! Good Luck! *~Daisy~* > I am going to try mashed potatoes today I am 6 days post op...is > that too soon for them? thanks! > -

Guest guest
Nope, I have to thin out my mashed potatotes a lot...all you do is add more milk. My mouth is wired, I think it would be a big mess if I tried to eat them without thinning it out first Try to blend some things up...spagettios are great blended and the chunky soups aren't bad blended. You gotta get creative! Good luck! > > > I am going to try mashed potatoes today I am 6 days post op...is > > > that too soon for them? thanks! > > > -

Guest guest
Just remember to add more milk than the instructions call for, oh, and add more butter!! I mixed the chicken bullion cubes with the water that you boil. I did the 8 servings and ate it at one setting! Guest guest
Dear Jewish Gal, Do you have any room behind your teeth. That is where I have to " suck " my potatoes from the syringe and the milk shakes. I can also fit a small sleeping pill through there with a little work. Guest guest
I tried the spaghetti O's and that was just too nasty. The refried beans are good mixed with milk. I was thinking I should have had chedder cheese soup with the beans. That may have been pretty good. Guest guest
Geez, Ronnie! You're turning into a chef!!! Also: cream of corn and tomato soup. Green pea and milk and tomato bisque. chicken gumbo and whatever you think you might like. Chunky sirloin, blended really well, with broth... Yummm. Think I'd like some now, and I've had more than a year to recover.... Not to mention shrimp bisque. Oyster stew... oooooohhh. The calories... Hey! maybe even cornbread and pot likker! Guest guest
You need a recipe??? You need cornmeal?? Hey, Bub! You're doing swell.... So go cook some, and drown it in bacon drippings and buttermilk!!!! (I know. No sympathy here. but anybody who can mow a yard 4 days out, and ain't mowin' mine, gets little relief from me.) Keep on keepin' on. You're doing fine. Ummmm -- three more days? Not much, compared to what you have behind you! Cammie > Now, I sure could go for some nice fried cornbread, yum, yum! Guest guest
Two days!!! Wed, Aug 6th is my unwire date. I'm calling my Dr and telling him to fix me a room on Tuesday night as my appointment is at 9:15am and I live about 40 miles from him! I hope they have creamed potatoes, ha!!! Hey, Bacon drippings on the potatoes doesn't sound too bad, I may try that tonight. I read a post where someone blended a Mc's cheeseburger, YUK! I don't think that would work for me, I tried pot roast and made a mess out of myself, It took me forever picking all that stuff out! Take care and have a great day (for a Monday) Ronnie ceast36532 wrote: > You need a recipe??? You need cornmeal?? > > Hey, Bub! You're doing swell....
