Guest guest
I was kind of gaping at this, too. Seeing so many people in this area with the BPD/DS or just BPD or just DS get back to way, WAY over MO. Some have gained back all of their weight and more. Of course, a one year post-op is still on top of the world, but when five years go by and people are gaining back significant amounts of weight...red flag, red flag! I have really been having a heck of a time with these people, they keep coming to my house for the protein parties. Seeing that look in their faces of utter failure and disbelief is so sad. But many of them are bouncing back and starting to lose again once they cut out the sugar and get on the protein. Just about any surgery can succeed. I have seen some awesome successes in the VBG, which has a pretty bad rep now. And just about any surgery can fail. I have seen lots of 400 lb. DSers five year post-ops. We really have to work it, no matter what procedure.
