I have had these problems and personally I would wait. I've called

the ortho and thats what they recommended. They said put the helmet

back on about an hour before your appt time and they will adjust it

based off those 'red spots'. They also said if its off a week, it

may later add a week+ to dc's treatment, all depending on his

growth. I would enjoy his naked head and give him lots of kisses all

over it!!

You especially want to wait until the fever is completely gone

anyway. Hope he gets to feeling better very soon!!

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking I shouldn't put it back on him until he's seen his ortho, or I've at least talked to him and found out it was okay. So far, we are on day three without him wearing the helmet, so who knows how long this is going to set us back. Oh well. I'm loving on his head as much as I can for now!!
