Guest guest
Hi , The number I've heard is that you have to burn 3500 calories to lose 1 lb of fat. Here's a link that discusses it: http://www.weightlossforall.com/calories-per-pound.htm BTW, Hi everyone, new member here. Re: Question about weight loss... Hi Angelia, The reason I asked when you joined was because I could not remember the screen name you used. This morning, bright and early, I remember that screen name. I have an appointment this morning. When I get home, I'll try to find that information unless someone has already posted it. hugs Eunice

Guest guest
Welcome to this group from sunny Tucson! We will all give you as much info as we have, which is so helpful when you are starting out. I go in Mar 2 for my 3 month checkup and everybody cross your fingers, as i am hoping for an A1C of about 5.5, haha! Let's see how close I come. I am now only about 7# away from my wt loss goal, it's not as hard as I thought it would be. Tucson Kitty, 59, feeling great and ready for about 40 more years of good health! Guest guest
Dear Mrs Nodge!!!!! It was so good to hear from you! How was the wedding, etc? OK, don't include ALL the details, haha! Well, I dated a nice guy from Iowa for 10 days, he wined and dined me and was an obsessive-compulsive person, ate the exact same foods every day, washed his hands after touching the door handles, etc and got a sore throat and went to bed for a week!!! NEXT!!!!!!!!..... Then I joined a group in town called Lunch Dates. She sends you 3 men's names, they fill out a history and interest form and you meet for coffee and then decide if you wuold like to meet for lunch and you continue if you would like. I met the oddest man, he is my age, retired , we have a lot of interests in common, like Skeet Shooting, he is teaching me to shoot a shotgun and then after one more lesson we will try a skeet range. I have always wanted to be Annie Oakley, haha. We also like history, genealogy, etc. He NEVER wants to remarry, had a dreadful 29 yr marriage, she died of cancer after 10 yrs, and so it won't go anywhere. And the odd thing...his folks live a block from me and I have had his mom over for coffee, she and I are quilters! So, the search continues... Ans I am feeling and looking so well, it won't be hard, hahahahahahah!!!!! Power of positive thinking! Tucson Kitty, now in size 10 jeans, down from 16!!!! Re: Re: Question about weight loss...
