I'm so sorry you have to deal with this! Since Doctor Olive said that

he'd get you in soon for surgery, perhaps he will keep his promise?

Sometimes nurses don't know the whole scoop. I'm hoping that when you

email Dr. O, he will agree to see you soon.

I HEAR YOU ON THIS!!! It couldn't be more frustrating! With all of

this AS crap, don't you feel like you should be treated extra well

and with highest priority? You should! As if you haven't been

through enough waiting already, and now more! If he was going to

have to postpone your surgery until after June, at the very least he

could have warned you. You have every right to be angry and you

should let it all out.

All I can say is, it sucks! I will give you back the advice you gave

to me, which is to concentrate on the good here. I hate to be a

Little Miss Sunshine here, but the most important thing is that there

is hope for you and things are going to look up SOON. I hope beyond

hope that there has been some miscommunication and that your surgery

will be sooner. If not, I'll be here to listen any time you want to

vent.

This just really sucks, I can't think of any other way to say it.

(without resorting to four letter words, of course.) First, I was

infuriated to read this, and now I'm getting tears. Haley is so

right, woman with AS go through so much, I say, " YES, we sure should

get extra special treatment!! " I know I've been very frustrated

myself with how they run that office, or perhaps its the entire UW

system?? Last time I was there, Lindsey was working at the front

desk, and when I asked her for a form to request my records be sent

to my new ob/gyn, she couldn't find them!!!!!!

I'm really hoping there has been some misunderstanding here. Please

let us know what you hear back from Dr. O. I'm keeping you in my

prayers and if you want to call just to vent, please feel free. I'll

be here to listen.

pray that it is just a matter of the receptionist being out of the

loop and that he will be able to do your scope right away.

Otherwise, does the man have no compassion?!? I think you have every

right to be livid and sometimes it takes a meltdown in front of the

doctors (or staff) for them to understand the emotional toll that

this takes.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you - you really deserve a break!

ugh, Roxie, I'm sorry you are getting weighed down by the beurocracy of the medical community....it's not enough that there are struggles that we can't control, then we rely on people to do what they are expected/promise, and they fall down. It's just not fair.

I think it's a great idea to calm down before writing the email, this is coming from a person who is incapable of that, so if you can I admire you for that.
