Cardiac valvular is a term indicating that there is involvement of the heart

valves, such as the mitral, aortic and tricuspid valves. Many with EDS have

mitral valve problems, as well as issues in the other valves. These valves are

responsible for preventing " backflow " of blood in the chambers of the heart,

or from large vessels. In EDS the theory is they are floppy and leak a

little. Symptoms can be basically nonexistant to severe. " Valvular " does not

have

anything to do with " strokes " per say.......Hope this helps to clarify this

for you.

We'll all just have to wait and see what the word is1

Sue
