Guest guest
Thank you Zanna, Tennayahh and Vicki for the kind words concerning my relationship with my daughter. Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I do not normally speak of this heartbreaking experience, but I know you too have been terribly hurt with loved ones not understanding and I actually feel a little better having said what I did knowing you too have cried bitter tears over this same type situation. Remember the song, You always hurt the ones you love. SO TRUE. Thanks for your sincerity. Sue G. Lesley--Keep looking for the toaster, you will eventually find it. If not tell yourself you do not really want it anyway. Bingo! it will show up the next day. Happy New Year. Sue G. ,I want you to know I understand what it is to try to kick the cigs. My husband had smoked for more than forty years and began to have a hacking cough, throat sore, and related symptoms. After a scary visit to the specialist about these symptoms, the doc found a nodule in the tonsil area did a biopsy, and the outcome was ok. However he told him that he would have to give up the cigs. It was very difficult for him, however he was able to do so. Just one day at a time--it was tough. You can do it if it will be beneficial to your health. Remember, I am in your corner rooting for you. Sue G Vicki, being back on pred appears to help control your pain. My Dad takes Clonazepam for restless legs and it also helps him to sleep. Not being able to sleep at night is famous for making you feel "bombed out" the next day.I also agree the winter weather seems to have a lot to do with our aches and pains. I also tend to think the dreary days without much sunlight causes more depression.I can't believe the DMV is so remiss in issuing car (truck) tags, especially handicap license tags. You and Lynn should get a purple heart for fighting with them. Hope you both get that problem solved. As a rule I behave fairly well in a doctors office, but the DUMMY neuro(local Dr. Stupid) was so rude to me I did just as you did--got very upset with him and loud in his office and was still ranting and raving as I came back through the waiting room. Had my records faxed to Houston only to find out on my first appointment there that Dr. Stupid had me dx'd as pheriphal neuropathy. Wrong dx, and to think of spending two years with the wrong dx. Live and learn. Very interesting article on FDA CERTIFIED Supplements. I use Nature Made with many of the vitamins. Glad to see the the action being taken. Lordy Me, I am really on a tear tonight. Bye for now. Sue G. Tenayahh--Took your advice about "slathering" the Gold Bond on while skin is slightly wet. If the itching don't get better everyone will believe I have the 7 year itch.Sometimes I wonder. Oh well, will just have to grow long fingernails. LOL. Your posts are all so interesting, and informative. You inspire me. Sue G. Teddi, is your pain worse since you are off "the patch"? Wish you ccould get the relief you need. Pain is a n ugly word when applied to the body. I feel for you. As for the itching the Gold Bond medicated cream helped me get through the night. I will continue to use it and heed Tenayahh's advice-- Apply it to the skin while damp. Teddi, I know it sounds trite but I know you will find the solution to some of your health problems because I have asked God to help you. Big Hugs for a lovely lady. Sue G. Kirk-- Give Dawn our love and let her know we will continue to pray for her and the entire family. Please keep us updated on her condition. Sue G. Zanna, Glad you finally went to ER., also relieved that all tests were normal. Ribs can hurt so bad. Sometimes it takes a lot of time for the pain to subside.I know you hurt like the dickens Hopefully the vicodin and muscle relaxant will give you relief. SLOW DOWN , and REST. Sue G Vickie,Most of us know the helpless feeling when you fall and can not get up.Having to wait for someone to come and help you up can turn minutes into hours. Not Fun.Hope your sprained toe and neck are better. Too much rushing to get Christmas stuff done takes its toll on you. Just think-- only 12 more months and it will be time to do it all over again.Perish the thought. Maybe we will remember what NOT to do instead of what we think we should do. I think your grandchild will enjoy having other children to play with at day care. May the New Year be good to you. Sue G.
Guest guest
Hi Sue The only thing the patch did re: pain was I couldn't take my pain pills. I will be able to take them in another week. The anti-depressant in the patch really helped me. I can tell especially now I'm off of it. Will start a new antidepressant in a week so guess people will just have to stand my snarling and snapping until then.....LOL I did have a really bad reaction to the patch itself. Left red patches and extreme itching. The longer I wore them the worse the reaction was and the longer it lasted. Glad it's over. The main thing causing me pain now is that I'm decreasing my prednisone. I'm down to 4mg and there are days I would kill to get back to 10mg. Don't know if I will make it to 0 or not.
