Guest guest
Vickie, You do need to slow down. I think it would be very good for you to have your Granddaughter put in day care. I am not sure how I did it either. I went back to work one 1/2 weeks after my dx and a week after my biopsy. I went full time. It was horrible. Then to come home and still be a full time Mom-my husband worked swing shift at the time. I remember getting done with work and sitting in my car and crying in the parking lot until I felt I could drive to pick up my son and daughter. Brody is a lot to handle but Kylie helps me a lot and my MIL takes him about once a week or every other week over night. Also my friend Robin comes over with her kids so he has someone to play with and that helps. Now he goes to pre-school 3 days a week. I hope you get the answers you need, but I think you already know what you need to do to get better. Take care Zanna

Guest guest
Vickie, I was just looking at your website and have a question. Do you draw all the designs for your stamps. How do you get them? Do you etch them yourself?? There are some beautiful stamps on there.....I was impressed. I wish I still did stamping!! LOL.... Guest guest
My doctor said he wanted to give the IVIg 4-6 months, but he seemed to be thinking about changing meds. I don't know what to think about it...just wish my muscle spasms in my back would go away! How high were you cpk's? It would be nice if my business took off well. Right now it isn't bringing in enough money but I am thinking of other things to add so that I can increase my income. I like working from home because I can sleep whenever I need to and that really helps. VIckie That's a long time to go without a proper DX. Gee...so sorry that happened. I do believe our Vicki went 8 years. Phew...I do not know how you did it! I was thinking back to the months I spent so sick, a total fruitcake, weak, scared...and then I started on Pred and really got nuts. But it did help. Seems like you need some other kind of therapy to deal with the CPKs. I know when my GP found mine, she sent me to the ER and had them put me on a saline drip to push some of them out cause she said there's a huge risk of kidney failure when they get that high. But I think a few around here have had CPKs in the 20,000...so hey, I'm not complaining! I've noticed in the last few days that the muscle spasms have returned to my hands. You should be proud of yourself, Vickie, for starting your business...for finding a new, open door in spite of your illness. We shall overcome! Guest guest
Can I ask what the calcium and magnesium does? I am sorry if you all have talked about this before. Is it for when you are taking prednisone? Does it help with muscle spasms? Thanks all Cindy & Willow(SDIT)
Guest guest
I am up to 20 mg methx. I guess I just need to practice patience. I just get so frustrated at all the things I can't do! Vickie Vickie, That sure is a bummer about your cpk's going up. Are you on mtx right now?? I switched to cellcept a year ago and it seems to do me better than the mtx or imuran did. The imuran made me horribly ill but it worked well on others. I think that is what Vicki was on before enbrel. I hope you feel better. I was in that range a year ago and am now finally down to the high 700's..... Guest guest
I hope Lem is feeling better soon, Beck. I think you should call his GP and run it past him. Give him my best.
