My daughter's doc's are having a hard time accepting the RSD possibility. They've all known her for so long, are close to her, and as her neuro said 'love her like their own.' Neuro said for now, we're going to call it suspected CRPS (then he shakes his head with tears in his eyes) and says no let's call it pain, unspecified. They've done all kinds of testings and won't stop til they've exhausted themselves and others too. I'm just so thankful she has good docs at a huge research hospital. The pain doc called the other day to tell me that he was taking her on as a patient---the clinic had said waiting list then screening. Well I called today to check on when the appt was, they called back about 4:30ish to ask if I could have her there at 1pm tomorrow for a 3-4 hr appt. So we'll see how that goes. Something tells me that we'll stay undiagnosed as long as we can get away with it.

As for the nurse---How about dingbat and awful handwriting. She can't read her own writing on most notes. She was good for a full 8 hr shift and one sentence too.

Worst part is they kept this nurse AND put her on the case of an infant on a ventilator. Our doc and I have spoken with the head of the agency and the board of nursing today.....she is not qualified for this case, they just need someone who wants hours. I told the lady at the board that I feared for this baby's life. Agency said they'd remove her---doc said good because he's already talked to the baby's doc who has talked with the mom. They're doing an emergent admit until someone qualified is available. Apparently, the mom had some questions about some of the care too. Sad--huh? At least mine was old enough to tell the docs some of the things that were or weren't going on.

Subject: Re: told the head of the agency not to stand on the street corner advertisingfor anyone who's bought a nursing license to please apply. She took offensebut I was totally serious. They're still looking into 'why' she changed the balloon water. Other thanthat she was a total dingbat.,My vote is for dingbat. She probably did wonderful paperwork. I can tell youthat the nurses who were the most caring and knowledgeable were the onesthat had the most awful handwriting and forgot to turn in the notes andstuff on time.I worked out in the field and then the last 4 years as a chart auditor. Ihad could see both sides of the whole process. So they can't figure out whyshe was changing the water either, I am sure they have a policy and shedefinitely didn't follow it.Hopefully she will be either fired or put in a department that she can't doany damage.Hang in there, my prayers are with you and your familyLin
